• Job Title: Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN)
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250 - $2,370
• Location: Show Low, AZ 85901 — Arizona nursing jobs / travel nursing job
• Setting: Acute Care – 7-bed Labor & Delivery Unit
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 27, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour Nights (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 48
• Weekend Requirement: Minimum 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
• Call Requirement: One shift per 4-week schedule
• Orientation: Every Monday

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (3+ years preferred) — strong L&D, OB RN background
• Active RN license: Arizona or compact state
• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring, NIHSS
• Proficiency in continuous fetal monitoring and responding to fetal distress
• Experience assisting with and managing C-sections and high-risk OB patients
• Comfortable managing pre-eclampsia and other OB emergencies until provider arrival
• Able to float to ED or MedSurg units as needed based on staffing
• Experience with Allscripts or other electronic health record (EHR) charting is preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns in a 7-bed L&D unit
• Monitor and assess fetal well-being; intervene promptly for signs of fetal distress
• Assist with and manage C-sections and high-risk deliveries in collaboration with OB providers
• Stabilize and care for patients experiencing OB emergencies (e.g., pre-eclampsia) until provider arrives
• Document all patient care and assessments using Allscripts charting system
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team including respiratory therapists, OB scrub techs, and health unit secretaries
• Participate in couplet care (mother–baby) when census allows and provide neonatal support as needed
• Float to ED or MedSurg units as required by unit needs and staffing
