Job Details / Position Overview

• Position: Lab Technician / Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) – Night Shift
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,580 – $1,700
• Location: On-site in Stroudsburg, PA (18360) — hospital laboratory, Pocono Mountains region
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Local, W2)
• Shift: Night shift, 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM, Sunday through Thursday
• Hours per Week: 40

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory or hospital laboratory experience required
• Relevant certification or degree in laboratory sciences preferred (MLT, ASCP, or equivalent)
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment, quality control, and proper specimen handling
• Ability to work independently on night shifts and collaborate with the clinical healthcare team
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to accurate results
• Good communication skills and adherence to safety and CLIA/hospital lab policies

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests in accordance with established protocols and hospital laboratory procedures
• Receive, process, and prepare specimens for testing; operate and maintain laboratory analyzers and equipment
• Document results accurately, perform quality control checks, and maintain laboratory records
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to support patient diagnosis and treatment
• Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and laboratory regulatory requirements during night shifts
• Support efficient night-shift workflow to maintain timely reporting of critical results
