Travel Nurse opportunity: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) — 13-week contract in Salem, VA (Roanoke Valley). Nights; ACLS/PALS/BLS required. • Position: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) / Emergency Department (ED) Nurse — Travel Nursing Assignment
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,680 – $1,770
• Location: Salem, VA (Blue Hills FSED, Roanoke) — Salem, Virginia nursing jobs, Roanoke Valley
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 20, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00 – 07:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Openings: 3 travel nurse positions
• Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per schedule
• Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state of practice)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department nursing experience (ED nurse / ER RN)
• Current certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, TNCC
• Ability to care for critically ill and high-acuity patients
• Experience with Meditech EMR preferred
• ENPC certification is a plus

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to both high- and low-acuity Emergency Department patients
• Triage, assess, monitor, and manage patients in a fast-paced ED environment
• Administer medications, perform lab draws and point-of-care testing, and document interventions
• Provide care for critically ill patients in an 8-bed unit with an expected 4:1 patient ratio when assigned
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including RNs, EMTs, providers, and ancillary staff
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation using Meditech EMR
• Work independently and as part of a team; demonstrate adaptability in varying clinical situations
