Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,030 - $2,190 (competitive travel ultrasound pay)
- Location: Bangor, ME 04401 — travel sonographer position, not accepting Maine residents
- Setting: Hospital & Outpatient Imaging Center (possible rotation)
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 5/5/2026 – End: 8/1/2026)
- Hours: 40 hours per week; variable schedule with most shifts being 8 hours (7:45-4:15 or 8:45-5:15), some 10-hour shifts (7:00-5:30)
- Shift Type: Variable (primarily 8-hour shifts, some 10-hour shifts)
- Weekend Rotation: Every 4-6 weeks; Saturday and Sunday 8:00-5:30 with call
- Employment Type: Travel / Contract — travel sonographer role

Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years recent sonography experience, hospital setting preferred
- Vascular ultrasound experience required — must be comfortable performing vascular testing on pediatric and adult patients
- RVT or RVS certification required (Registered Vascular Technologist / Registered Vascular Sonographer)
- Valid BLS certification from AHA
- Experience with pediatric and adult sonography
- Ability to work a variable schedule including 8-hour and 10-hour shifts, and participate in weekend rotation
- Proficient with Cerner EMR documentation preferred
- Not accepting Maine residents for this travel assignment
Responsibilities
- Perform vascular testing and diagnostic ultrasound imaging for pediatric and adult patients (arterial and venous exams)
- Provide high-quality ultrasound and vascular studies in hospital and outpatient imaging center settings
- Collaborate with lead technologists, radiologists, and vascular physicians to ensure accurate results and excellent patient care
- Document exams and workflows using Cerner EMR
- Float between main hospital campus and outpatient imaging center as needed
- Participate in scheduled weekend shifts (every 4-6 weeks, Saturday and Sunday 8:00-5:30 with call) and occasional call-backs
- Maintain professional appearance (scrubs: any solid color or facility-provided)
