Travel Nurse Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,360 - $2,480
- Location: Birthing Center / Mother Baby Unit, Martinsburg, WV (25401) — West Virginia nursing jobs
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (April 6, 2026 – July 6, 2026)
- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekend / Holiday: Every other weekend and holiday participation required
- Type: Travel Nurse, On-Site — Labor & Delivery / Postpartum (L&D RN, maternal-newborn)
Travel Nurse Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required (L&D RN, maternal-newborn care)
- Active RN license (willing to wait for licensure)
- BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certifications required
- C-section experience required; must be able to circulate and recover (intraoperative and postop care)
- Experience with EPIC EMR and Centricity FHM preferred (EPIC charting experience a plus)

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive maternal-newborn and postpartum care in a 6-bed L&D suite and 11 private postpartum rooms
- Circulate and recover patients for C-sections; assist with intraoperative and post-op nursing responsibilities
- Cross-cover between Labor & Delivery and Mother Baby units as needed; serve as a skilled postpartum nurse
- Participate in high-risk deliveries and manage patients from 25 weeks gestation (Neonatology support/NICU available)
- Collaborate with OB Hospitalists, Neonatology, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe perinatal outcomes
- Maintain patient safety and adhere to Baby-Friendly and Safe Sleep protocols and other perinatal best practices
- Document all patient care using the EPIC charting system (accurate EMR documentation)
- Participate in orientation, ongoing training, and unit-based competencies
