Travel RN Details

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 27, 2026)
• Setting: Cardiac Stepdown Unit / Cardiac Telemetry
• Shift: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (7:00am – 7:30pm)
• Weekly Hours: 36
• On-Site Position: Onsite clinical role
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,020 – $2,130

Qualifications & Licenses

• Minimum of 18 months recent Med/Surg Telemetry or Cardiac Stepdown experience (Telemetry RN, Cardiac Telemetry experience preferred)
• Active Ohio RN license OR active compact state RN license (travel RN eligible)
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate during orientation (2 attempts maximum)
• One supervisory reference in the specialty required (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director)
• COVID-19 and seasonal flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Background check and fingerprinting required prior to start
• Must be able to complete orientation and required modules prior to start date

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care for cardiac telemetry patients in the Cardiac Stepdown Unit
• Continuously monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry/ECG rhythms; recognize and respond to arrhythmias and changes in patient condition
• Perform focused cardiac assessments, titrate cardiac medications, and administer prescribed treatments and interventions
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including cardiology, pharmacy, and case management to develop and implement patient care plans
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record per hospital and regulatory policies
• Provide patient and family education on cardiac conditions (heart failure, MI, arrhythmias), medications, and post-discharge care
• Participate in orientation, competency validation, and ongoing training as required for Travel RN assignments
