This travel radiology technologist position (travel Rad Tech / IR Technologist) is a 13-week contract working in a dynamic hospital environment performing advanced interventional procedures alongside physicians, technologists, nurses, and advanced practice providers. Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,610 - $2,800 (competitive travel radiology technologist pay)
- Location: Columbus, Ohio (43210) — Columbus healthcare / Central Ohio travel job
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (June 15, 2026 – September 14, 2026)
- Shift: Day shifts, 4x10-hour (07:30 AM – 6:00 PM), Monday – Friday with a rotating day off
- Hours per Week: 40
- Call Requirement: One primary weekday and one backup weekday/month, plus one weekend every 6 weeks (alternating primary/backup)
- Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
- Unit: 8 procedure rooms; daily census 20–40; busy IR suite with angiography and fluoroscopy cases
Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in interventional radiology (IR) or vascular/interventional lab
- ARRT (R)(T) certification required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Proficiency with Siemens imaging equipment (angiography/fluoroscopy)
- Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system preferred
- Education from an accredited radiologic technology program (ACEN or CCNE accepted)
- Ability to provide two professional references (one from a manager/director or formal leadership role)
- Influenza vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of interventional radiology procedures, including angioplasty, stent placement, embolization, catheter/drain exchange, peripheral and central line procedures
- Operate Siemens angiography and fluoroscopy equipment efficiently and safely
- Assist with endovascular and image-guided procedures; maintain radiation safety standards
- Ensure patient safety, positioning, and comfort throughout all procedures
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records using EPIC (preferred) and follow documentation best practices
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (physicians, nurses, technologists, APPs) to deliver high-quality patient care
- Participate in scheduled call coverage and in-service training as required
