Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,660 - $1,780
- Location: Portland, OR 97225 (West Side)
- Employment Type: Travel Contract – Travel Radiology Technologist
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 4, 2026 – August 3, 2026)
- Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (Fri–Sun: 7:00pm – 7:30am) — ideal for night shift rad tech candidates
- Hours per Week: 36
- On-call: 3 shifts per month
- Block scheduling required
- Orientation: 40 hours
- Parking: Free
Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Radiology Technologist experience (hospital/acute care preferred)
- Active Oregon radiology license (may submit with pending license)
- ARRT (R) certification required
- BLS certification (AHA) required
- Fluoro Permit (fluoroscopy) required
- Experience with Epic electronic health record (preferred)
- Clinical skills: extremities, abdomen/GE, spine/pelvis, chest/thorax, musculoskeletal, surgery/C-Arm, upper and lower extremities
- Comfortable with portable x-ray, C-Arm and intraoperative imaging
- Reliable transportation to assignment site
- Willingness to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals
- Two supervisory references covering at least one year within the last three years
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures for neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
- Operate and maintain radiologic equipment including C-Arm, O-arm, Carestream, and Philips systems
- Prepare and administer contrast media per protocol (when required)
- Follow infection prevention, isolation precautions, and PPE protocols
- Document procedures and patient information accurately in Epic and maintain excellent charting practices
- Adhere to radiation safety standards and hospital policies for patient and staff safety
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care in a teaching hospital environment
- Participate in on-call rotation, block scheduling, and float as needed to cover units or affiliates
