• Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts, 40-hour work week
• On-Site: Hospital-based echocardiography department

• Start Date: May 18, 2026 (arrival Thursday before start for employee health appointment)

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in an acute hospital setting as an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer
• ARDMS or CCI certification required (RDCS preferred)
• Active AHA BLS certification
• Demonstrated competency in adult echocardiography: 2D, Doppler CW & PW, color flow mapping, valvular disease studies, cardiomyopathies, hypertensive heart disease
• Experience with 2D & 3D TEE (transesophageal echocardiography) and diagnosis of pericardial disease and effusions
• Pediatric echocardiography experience is a plus (but not required)
• Ability to float to other departments to support patient care in a hospital/acute care environment
• Professional attire or personal scrubs required
• Familiarity with Epic EMR documentation is preferred (transition noted in department)

Responsibilities (Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer)

• Perform comprehensive echocardiographic studies on adult patients, including 2D, Doppler, color flow imaging, and advanced valvular and cardiomyopathy assessments
• Conduct specialized studies for valvular disease, cardiomyopathies, congenital and pericardial conditions, and pericardial/pleural effusions
• Perform 2D & 3D transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs) as indicated
• Operate Canon i700 and i900 echocardiography systems used in the department
• Document studies and patient information accurately in Epic EMR (department transitioning November 1, 2025)
• Participate in rotating shifts and on-call coverage as required for hospital echocardiography services
• Float to other clinical departments as needed to support workflow and patient care
