RRT Travel Job — 13-week Registered Respiratory Therapist assignment in Walla Walla, WA (99362). Must hold RRT and Washington respiratory therapist license; ACLS/BLS/PALS required. Join a Level III Trauma Center delivering critical respiratory care across all age groups.
Job Details
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (May 4, 2026 – August 3, 2026)
- Role: Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – hospital / short term acute care
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,720 – $1,850
- Shift: 3 x 12-hour day shifts (07:00 – 19:00), block scheduling
- Hours per Week: 36
- Setting: Short Term Acute Care / Level III Trauma Center (Walla Walla hospital)
- Weekend Coverage: Yes, rotating weekends
- On-Site Parking: Free
- Charting / EMR: Epic (experience with Epic preferred)
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
- Active Washington State Respiratory Therapist license (or Compact Allied license accepted)
- Minimum 1 year recent RRT experience in a hospital, acute care, or trauma center setting (critical care experience preferred)
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS required; NRP preferred
- Experience with ventilator management, arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis, and advanced airway management
- Comfort caring for a wide range of patient ages: neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
- Ability to work rotating weekends and block schedules; willing to float within facility as needed
- References: Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive respiratory care, including ventilator management, weaning protocols, aerosol therapy, pulmonary hygiene, and airway support
- Perform arterial blood gas sampling and interpretation to guide clinical interventions
- Support high-risk deliveries, C-sections, neonatal resuscitation, and difficult airway scenarios
- Operate and troubleshoot advanced respiratory equipment (e.g., Draeger ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, high flow nasal cannula)
- Participate in trauma response, rapid response teams, cardioversions, conscious sedation, and cath lab support as indicated
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including nursing, physicians, physical therapy, pharmacy, radiology, and critical care teams
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Epic and adhere to hospital policies and respiratory therapy protocols
