• Job Title: Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) / Telemetry RN / Med/Surg RN
• Location: Towson, MD 21204 (Baltimore area) — Maryland travel nursing
• Contract Length: 12 weeks
• Start Date: May 4, 2026
• Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:30) — Night shift Telemetry RN
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,920 – $2,020
• Setting: Med/Surg Telemetry – Adult & Geriatric Population
• Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and holidays as scheduled
• Floating: Required within specialty and to lower acuity units as needed

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience (clinical Med/Surg RN/Telemetry RN experience required)
• Active Maryland RN license or Compact RN (must be in hand at submission)
• Current BLS and ACLS (AHA only); NIHSS and CPI certifications required
• Experience with Epic electronic health record (EHR) preferred
• Comfortable caring for adult and geriatric patients; typical patient ratio 1:5
• Ability to float within Med/Surg and Telemetry units as needed
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• References: 2 satisfactory professional references (1 supervisor/manager, 1 charge RN)
• Permanent residence must be 50+ miles from facility
• First-time travel nurses welcome — great opportunity for travel RN newcomers

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to a diverse Med/Surg Telemetry patient population, including CHF, cardiac conditions, cellulitis, osteomyelitis, pancreatitis, post-amputation care, small bowel obstruction, Afib/dysrhythmias, cancer, and palliative needs
• Monitor and interpret telemetry continuously, perform and interpret EKGs, and manage cardiac and vasoactive drips (non-titratable)
• Use and manage specialized equipment: IV pumps, oxygen therapy, pulse oximeters, SCDs, bed/chair alarms, chest tubes, Foley catheters, and other common Med/Surg devices
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV team, physical therapy (PT), respiratory therapy (RT), pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EHR and participate on rapid response/code teams as required
• Float to other units within scope as required by census and staffing needs
• Participate in self-scheduling and adhere to all unit and hospital policies and quality standards
