Job Details
- Location: South Bend, Indiana (46601) — Indiana radiology jobs / travel radiology
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,560 – $2,740
- Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital (Interventional Radiology department)
- Shifts: 5x8-hour day shifts (07:00 – 15:30); On-call shifts 08:00 – 16:30
- Call Requirements: 1 day per week, weekend call every 3rd or 4th weekend (Fri–Sun)
- Holiday Requirement: As needed
- Start Date: 4/20/2026
- End Date: 7/20/2026
- Hours per Week: 40
- Patient Population: Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
- Daily Caseload: 10–15 cases per tech
- Charting / EMR: Cerner (required)
- Scrubs/Uniform: Provided
Job Requirements
- ARRT (R) certification required — active (or pending) registration
- Minimum 1 year of Radiologic Technologist experience (2 years preferred); prior IR or vascular experience preferred
- Fluoroscopy / Fluoro Permit required (may be pending by start date)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Indiana state license (active or pending by start date)
- Experience scrubbing cases, maintaining sterile field, and working with wires and contrast
- Familiarity with GE and Siemens fluoro rooms preferred
- Experience with vascular IR, endografts, neurovascular, trauma, thrombectomy, and body IR preferred
- Experience in a stroke thrombectomy facility is a plus
- Cerner charting experience required
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (no locals)
- COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
- Travel radiology experience and flexibility for on-call rotations preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of interventional radiology procedures including vascular, neurovascular, trauma, and body IR cases
- Scrub and maintain a sterile field during procedures; assist with endograft placements, thrombectomies, angiographies, and complex endovascular cases
- Operate and maintain fluoroscopy and radiology equipment (GE, Siemens preferred)
- Assist physicians with device preparation, wire management, and contrast administration
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV, respiratory, and rehabilitation services
- Document procedures, implants, and patient information accurately in Cerner
- Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled, including weekend and holiday coverage as needed
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, radiation safety, and professional conduct standards
