- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,620 – $2,760 (weekly pay for travel nurse Cath Lab RN)
- Location: Richmond, VA (23219) — Richmond healthcare, Virginia nursing jobs
- Setting: Cardiac Cath Lab at a Level I Trauma Center (interventional cardiology)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 27, 2026)
- Shift: Day shifts, 4x10-hour (07:00 – 17:00)
- Hours per Week: 40
- On-Call Requirement: On-call required 1-2 times per 6 weeks
- Employment Type: Travel nursing role (Cath Lab travel nurse)
- Orientation: Required modules completed during orientation week
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab RN experience in a busy cardiac cath lab (cardiac cath lab nurse / interventional cardiology nurse)
- Active RN license in Virginia or compact state (must be in hand at time of submission)
- Travel nursing experience required (experience as a travel Cath Lab RN preferred)
- BSN preferred
- EPIC charting experience required (electronic medical record experience)
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Experience with circulating procedures, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, and scrub procedures preferred
- Trauma Level I experience preferred
- 2 professional references required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized cardiac care in a busy cath lab (approximately 18–25 cases per day)
- Circulate, monitor, and scrub for cardiac procedures including LHC, RHC, biopsy, PCI, peripheral interventions, and structural heart procedures
- Use advanced equipment and technologies such as GE XRay, GE MacLab, Impella, IABP, FFR, iFR, OCT, IVUS, and vascular ultrasound
- Deliver care primarily to adult and geriatric patient populations
- Float within scope of practice as needed across cath lab services
- Complete required orientation modules by the Friday of orientation week
- Adhere to facility policies, including natural nail policy and standard infection control
