Job Details

• Setting: Level 1 Trauma Center — high-acuity surgical environment, 18-bed OR
• Shifts: Day shift: 4x10 (06:30–17:00); Night shift: 3x12 (19:00–06:30); flexible scheduling includes days/evenings
• Call: M–F 21:00–06:30; Sat/Sun 06:30–19:00 and 19:00–06:30; holiday/weekend coverage as needed
• Patient Populations: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics

Minimum Qualifications (Travel OR RN Requirements)

• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience (perioperative/OR nurse)
• Experience in Level 1 trauma centers preferred (trauma OR experience)
• Valid RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at submission)
• BLS required; NIHSS preferred
• EPIC charting experience (electronic medical record proficiency)
• Graduated from ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program
• Ability to float to other units within the hospital as needed
• Two professional references required (one from manager/director or formal leadership)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)

Key Responsibilities (Operating Room Nurse)

• Provide safe, evidence-based perioperative care during surgical procedures in a fast-paced Level 1 Trauma OR
• Circulate and assist with Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, Spine, and General Surgery cases
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and perioperative team to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate patient documentation using EPIC and adhere to hospital policies
• Participate in call coverage, holiday, and weekend shifts as required
• Float to other clinical units when needed and support interdisciplinary care
• Deliver compassionate care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in a trauma-informed setting
