Labor & Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nurse | Albany, GA 31701

Travel L&D RN opportunity in Albany, GA 31701 — 17-week night shift assignment for experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurses. Join a high-volume, baby-friendly hospital and care for mothers and newborns in a supportive travel nursing role.

Job Details

Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,980 – $2,080 (competitive travel nursing pay)
Location: Albany, GA (Zip: 31701) — South Georgia travel nursing job
Assignment Length: 17 weeks (May 11, 2026 – September 7, 2026)
Shift: 12-hour nights (6:45 PM – 6:45 AM) — Night shift L&D RN
Hours: 36 hours per week
Setting: Acute Care – Labor & Delivery Unit
Number of Positions: 3 travel nurse openings
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Scrub Color: Provided by hospital

Job Requirements

Minimum 2+ years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (travel nursing experience required)
Valid RN license
Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
Intermediate or above Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) competency
Ability to float to postpartum as needed
Familiarity with Meditech charting system preferred
Not accepting first-time travelers

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care to high-risk and routine obstetric patients as a Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse
Monitor and assess mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum
Use OB Trace and Meditech EMR for accurate documentation and handoffs
Collaborate closely with neonatologists, OB hospitalists, anesthesiology, and lactation consultants
Assist with c-sections, cerclages, tubal procedures, and vaginal deliveries
Maintain unit protocols and AWHONN staffing ratios to ensure high-quality maternal and newborn care
Participate in rotating holiday coverage and every other weekend shifts
Complete floor-specific orientation (2 shifts) to onboard as a travel nurse
