• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1200 - $1280
• Location: Hospital Laboratory (Atlanta, GA 30342)
• Setting: Hospital laboratory / surgical pathology support
• Contract Duration: 11 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Shift: 8-hour days, 6:00am – 2:30pm (days vary)

• Onsite Requirement: Must be able to work onsite; no local candidates within 50 miles

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of histotechnology experience in a hospital laboratory or surgical pathology setting
• ASCP certification required (American Society for Clinical Pathology)
• Proficiency with routine and specialized histology techniques such as tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, and H&E staining
• Experience with special stains and immunohistochemistry (IHC) is a plus
• Strong attention to detail, documentation skills, and commitment to quality laboratory practices
• Ability to collaborate with pathology, lab staff, and clinical teams to ensure timely, accurate results

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and process tissue specimens for microscopic examination, supporting surgical pathology and urology cases
• Perform routine histology procedures including fixation, processing, embedding, microtomy, and H&E staining
• Complete specialized histology tasks and assist with special stains and IHC as required by lab protocols
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of specimen processing, testing, and quality control
• Follow safety, infection control, and quality assurance procedures in all laboratory operations
• Collaborate with laboratory staff, pathologists, and clinical teams to ensure efficient workflow and timely reporting
