- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 – $2,130
- Location: Auburn, Washington (Zip: 98001) – Located in the vibrant Seattle area, Auburn offers easy access to the city’s amenities while providing a welcoming community atmosphere. - Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 5/4/2026 – End: 8/1/2026)
- Shift: 12-hour Nights (Psych RN / travel nurse)
- Hours per Week: 36 (Guaranteed)
- Weekend Rotation: Typically every other weekend (Fri-Sat for Nights)
- Unit: Gero Psych – 26-bed geriatric psychiatric unit in a 131-bed Level III Trauma Center
- Scrub Color: Any (no offensive words/images)
Requirements (Qualifications)
- Minimum 2 years nursing experience: 1 year in behavioral health/psychiatric care and 1 year in acute or long-term care
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (compact licenses accepted where applicable)
- Current BLS (American Heart Association preferred)
- CPI or MOAB certification required
- EPIC EMR experience preferred (mental health documentation experience a plus)
- Ability to float to Adult Psych or TG Adolescent Psych units as needed
- First-time travel nurses welcome — supportive orientation and team-based environment
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to geriatric psychiatric patients with medical comorbidities (geriatric psychiatric nurse / psych RN)
- Perform medical and psychiatric assessments and manage complex clinical presentations during night shifts
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including MHTs, LPNs, psychiatrists, social workers, and case managers
- Manage patient ratios of approximately 1:10–12 on night shift while maintaining patient safety and therapeutic milieu
- Document care and interventions accurately using EPIC EMR and follow facility policies for mental health documentation
- Participate in weekend rotations and unit-based activities to support continuity of care
- Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment and de-escalation practices consistent with CPI/MOAB training
