Travel NICU Registered Nurse (RN) — Level III NICU in Voorhees, NJ. 13-week travel nursing assignment for Neonatal RNs experienced with micro preemies and high-frequency ventilation.

Job Details – NICU RN / Travel Nurse

  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,360 – $2,480
  • Location: Voorhees, NJ 08043 — South Jersey / Philadelphia area
  • Role: Travel NICU Registered Nurse (RN) / Neonatal RN
  • Setting: Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
  • Assignment Length: 13 weeks (4/27/2026 – 7/27/2026)
  • Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00 – 07:00), 36 hours/week
  • Patient Ratio: 1:2 (high-acuity neonatal care)
  • Floating: Required within 5 hospitals based on need (Voorhees, Marlton, Mt. Holly, Willingboro, OLOL)
  • Weekend & Holiday Coverage: Every other weekend; 1 winter and 1 summer holiday required

Required Qualifications – NICU RN / Neonatal Nurse

  • Minimum 2 years of recent Level III NICU experience (within the last 12 months) — neonatal intensive care or high-risk newborn experience required
  • Clinical experience with micro preemies and high-frequency ventilation
  • Active New Jersey RN license or Compact RN license (must be in hand at submission)
  • BLS (AHA) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certifications — must be valid and not expire within 30 days of assignment start
  • Ability to float to High Risk Obstetric Unit (HROB) as needed; couplet care experience preferred
  • Epic electronic medical record charting experience preferred
  • COVID-19 and seasonal flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
  • Must be able to pass a Dysrhythmia Test during orientation
  • Facility dress code: navy blue scrubs required

Key Responsibilities – Neonatal Nursing

  • Provide high-quality, family-centered care to critically ill neonates in a Level III NICU
  • Manage advanced respiratory support including high-frequency ventilation and other neonatal ventilator modes
  • Deliver direct neonatal care for micro preemies and medically complex newborns
  • Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, lactation consultants, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes
  • Float to other units and facilities within the health system as needed while maintaining continuity of care
  • Participate in couplet care and Stork RN initiatives to support maternal-newborn continuity
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record (Epic preferred)
  • Adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory compliance standards for neonatal critical care
