Job Details
- Position: Travel Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Inpatient Acute Rehab (may float to Outpatient Rehab)
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,920 – $2,060
- Location: Lawton, Oklahoma (73505) — Oklahoma SLP jobs / Lawton SLP positions
- Setting: Inpatient Acute Rehab with potential outpatient float
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 5/4/2026 – End: 8/3/2026)
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (8-hour days); 40 hours/week
- Weekend Coverage: Some weekends may be required
- On-Call: No call required
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of clinical SLP experience (required) — experience with inpatient acute rehab preferred
- Licensed as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Oklahoma or eligible for Oklahoma licensure (Oklahoma SLP license)
- BLS (AHA) certification (required)
- NIH Stroke Scale certification (required)
- ACLS (AHA) certification (preferred)
- Experience evaluating and treating neurogenic communication disorders and dysphagia (preferred)
- Recent travel assignment experience preferred (travel SLP / travel therapy jobs)
- Willingness to float between Inpatient and Outpatient Rehab as needed (required)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive speech therapy services for inpatients and outpatients across the lifespan—infant to geriatric—including evaluation, treatment planning, and discharge recommendations
- Assess and treat communication, cognitive-communication, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders (dysphagia therapy)
- Deliver neurogenic rehabilitation services for stroke, TBI, and other neurologic diagnoses
- Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team (physicians, nurses, PT/OT, case managers) to provide patient-centered care
- Document clinical findings, progress, and plans in the electronic medical record (EMR) and maintain accurate, timely records
- Participate in team meetings, care planning, and family/caregiver education
- Float between Inpatient and Outpatient Rehab units as required by the assignment
