• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (18:45 - 07:15)

Job Requirements (PACU RN / Travel Nurse)

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for the state (no pending licenses accepted)
• Minimum 18 months of telemetry/acute care experience required; 2 years preferred
• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience required — experience with PACU or step-down preferred
• Strong experience managing vasoactive drips and cardiac drips (no titration)
• BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or American Red Cross (must have at time of submittal)
• NIHSS certification (must obtain prior to start)
• Nicotine-free (negative 10 Panel + Nicotine drug screen required)
• Ability to float within scope to all 3 hospitals within a 20-mile radius
• First-time travel nurses accepted — this is a travel nurse friendly role
• Must complete time-sensitive pre-employment modules prior to start
• EKG and Pharm competency tests required during orientation (2 attempts max)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in the PACU and Clinical Decision Unit as a PACU nurse / travel RN
• Monitor and manage patients post-anesthesia, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and telemetry monitoring
• Administer and manage cardiac and vasoactive drips per facility policy (no titration)
• Care for patients with central and peripheral lines, and administer blood products and oxygen therapy
• Utilize rapid response and code team resources as needed and participate in emergency response
• Adhere to isolation precautions, PPE protocols, and hospital infection control standards
• Float to other units and hospitals within scope as required and support interdisciplinary teamwork
• Complete all required charting and documentation in EPIC accurately and timely
