Required Qualifications – Registered Nurse (RN)

• Active RN license in Maryland or compact state (pending MD license may be accepted) — Maryland nursing jobs eligible
• Minimum 2 years recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience (Med/Surg RN / Telemetry Nurse)
• At least 1 prior travel assignment required (travel nurse experience preferred)
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Must pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam (?80% overall, 100% on lethal rhythms)
• Comfortable caring for patients undergoing gender affirmation surgery (experience preferred, not required)
• Ability to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays as scheduled; holiday coverage: 2 of 3 winter holidays required
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)

Key Responsibilities (Med/Surg Telemetry Nurse / Night Shift RN)

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit with a post-op focus
• Continuously monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms, initiating appropriate interventions and escalation
• Administer medications, manage IVs, and perform phlebotomy as needed
• Provide comprehensive care for a variety of medical and surgical diagnoses
• Utilize clinical skills including BiPAP/CPAP management, central line and PICC care, wound care, and more
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams: IV team, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, case management
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation (Cerner preferred)
• Participate in rapid response and code teams as needed
• Float to other units of similar or lower acuity when required and uphold infection control and isolation precautions
