Travel Nurse Job Details

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Location: Rosedale, Maryland (21237) — Baltimore area nursing job
• Setting: Med/Surg Telemetry Unit (48 beds; adult & geriatric patients)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (18:30 - 07:00), 3 shifts/week
• Hours per Week: 36
• Start / End Date: May 19, 2026 – August 18, 2026
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,710 - $1,800
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: 2 of 3 winter holidays; other holidays as needed
• On-Call: No on-call
• Scrubs: Navy blue (not provided)
• Flu Vaccine: Required (no exemptions)

Med/Surg Tele RN Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) — MD state or compact license required (pending accepted with proof of application)
• Minimum 2 years recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience; at least 1 prior travel assignment required
• BLS and NIHSS required; ACLS preferred
• Must pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam (80% overall; 100% on lethal rhythms)
• Comfortable caring for patients undergoing gender-affirmation surgery (experience preferred)
• Cerner charting experience preferred; familiarity with EMR documentation
• Ability to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity and care for adult & geriatric populations
• Flu vaccine required; COVID-19 vaccine not required

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for adult and geriatric post-operative and medical-surgical patients
• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms and respond to changes in patient condition (telemetry monitoring)
• Administer medications, manage IVs, perform phlebotomy, and manage central lines, chest tubes, feeding tubes, and surgical drains
• Implement isolation precautions and PPE protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, social services) and participate in rapid response/code teams
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner or other EMR systems
• Float to other units of similar or lower acuity as required
