- Case Volume: Average 6 cases/day; 3 ORs, all cardiac procedures except transplants
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year recent CVOR / cardiovascular surgical tech experience
- NBSTSA certification (required)
- Valid Allied license for Oklahoma or Compact state (must be in-hand at submission)
- Ability to take call and respond within 30 minutes
- First-time travel surgical techs encouraged to apply
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in a wide range of cardiac and vascular surgical procedures, including CABG, ECMO, TAVR, TCAR, EVAR, and lung resections
- Prepare and maintain a sterile field using strict aseptic technique for all CVOR cases
- Operate and troubleshoot specialized equipment such as robotic systems and ventricular assist devices
- Collaborate with surgeons, circulating nurses, perfusionists, and the perioperative team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
- Float to similar surgical units as needed based on facility requirements
- Complete required orientation, competency checks, and on-site modules during onboarding
