Job Details
- Position: NICU Registered Nurse (RN) / Neonatal Nurse – Night Shift Travel Nurse
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: April 27, 2026
- Setting: 42-bed Level III NICU with ground and flight transport program (neonatal transport)
- Shifts: 3x12-hour night shifts (18:30 – 07:00) per week
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,570 – $1,650

Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of recent Level III NICU RN or neonatal nurse experience
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred (travel RN)
- Valid Oklahoma RN license or Compact RN license required at time of submission
- Current BLS (AHA) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certifications required
- Experience managing patient ratios of 1:3–4 in NICU
- Proficiency with electronic charting systems (EMR experience preferred)
- Ability to float to Postpartum Nursery for well babies when needed
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate neonatal care in a busy Level III NICU as a NICU RN / neonatal nurse
- Manage patient assignments (typically 1:3, adjusted for acuity) and prioritize critical care needs
- Perform advanced NICU procedures including ventilator management, central line care, IV medication administration, and care of neonates born <24–28 weeks
- Administer emergency and routine medications (IV vasopressors, surfactants, steroids) and interpret dysrhythmias
- Provide feeding support (bottle, breast, gavage) and manage feeding tubes
- Follow isolation precautions, PPE protocols, and infection control standards
- Participate in ground and flight neonatal transport as needed — neonatal transport skills and experience a plus
- Float to like units within scope as required and participate in on-call rotation (1 call day per 6 weeks) and every other weekend scheduling
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, social services, lactation consultants, and neonatologists
