Job Details

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 27, 2026)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,820 – $2,970
• Position: Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (IR RN) / Travel Nurse
• Setting: Acute Care – Interventional Radiology Department (6-lab IR unit)
• Shifts: 4 x 9-hour day shifts per week (hours between 6:30 AM – 6:00 PM)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Call Requirements: 6-8 call shifts in 6 weeks (includes weekends and holidays; 30-minute response time)
• Charting System: EPIC (EPIC EMR preferred)
• Scrubs: Surgical scrubs provided

Job Requirements (Interventional Radiology RN / Travel Nurse Qualifications)

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois, or proof of application in process (compact license may apply)
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Interventional Radiology, Emergency Department (ED), ICU, or procedural nursing
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Proficiency in EKG interpretation and drip titration
• Experience with EPIC EMR preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across the IR continuum, including pre-op, intra-procedural support, and phase II recovery
• Assist with interventional procedures such as GI bleeds, stroke interventions, biopsies, central line placements, drains, and vascular procedures
• Monitor and interpret EKGs, manage continuous drips and titration, and respond to emergent situations
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including charge RNs, IR technologists, radiologists, and procedural staff
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation using EPIC to support quality and compliance
• Participate in call rotation that includes some weekends and holidays per departmental schedule
• Follow departmental protocols, infection control, and patient safety standards in an acute care environment
