Job Details

• Location: Lawrenceville, Georgia (30046) – Gwinnett County / suburban Atlanta
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,200 – $1,280
• Assignment Duration: 12 weeks
• Setting: Hospital Pathology Laboratory / clinical lab
• Shift: 8-hour days, Monday–Friday (6:00am–2:30pm)
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Employment Type: Travel Histotechnologist / travel assignment

Key Qualifications

• ASCP HT or ASCP HTL certification required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a pathology laboratory or clinical histology setting
• Must pass Color-Acuity screening test
• Attention to detail, good physical dexterity, and strong written and oral communication skills
• No local candidates within 50 miles

Responsibilities / Clinical Duties

• Prepare and process tissue specimens for microscopic examination, ensuring accurate histology workflow
• Perform embedding, microtomy (cutting), staining (H&E and routine stains), and mounting of tissue samples
• Maintain laboratory equipment, perform routine maintenance, and follow quality control (QC) procedures
• Collaborate with pathologists and laboratory staff to ensure timely, accurate pathology results
• Document procedures, maintain accurate lab records, and adhere to laboratory safety protocols and best practices
