Travel Radiology Job Details
- Location: Hilo, HI 96720 — Big Island of Hawaii (Hilo, HI travel radiology)
- Assignment Type: Travel Radiology / Travel Rad Tech
- Duration: 13 weeks (May 18, 2026 – August 17, 2026)
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,730 – $1,860
- Hours per Week: 36
- Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (Varied Day/Evening), average of 3 days of call per month
- On-Site Position: Must be on island and able to attend in-person clinical shifts
Radiologic Technologist Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist / Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech)
- Current State of Hawaii Radiologic Technologist license (must be obtained by start date)
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in operation of radiographic equipment and digital radiography (DR)
- Knowledge of radiation safety and protocols; must have dosimeter badge
- Ability to function independently and perform duties without direct supervision
- Experience with Meditech or Epic EMR preferred (experience with Philips DR, Philips C-arms, OEC C-arms, and Konica DR a plus)
- Must arrive on the island the Thursday before start for employee health clearance
Radiology Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures (radiographs) according to established protocols and safety standards
- Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain radiographic and C-arm equipment
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and proper positioning during imaging procedures
- Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain accurate dosimetry and QA records
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and the healthcare team to support patient care
- Participate in on-call rotation (average 3 days per month) and respond to emergent imaging needs
- Accurately document procedures, images, and patient information in the EMR system
