Telemetry RN travel assignment in Olathe, KS — 13-week contract, 12-hour night shifts; cardiac telemetry experience required. Join a dedicated cardiac nursing team on the 4N Cardiac Unit in Johnson County, with easy access to the Kansas City metro area.

Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,990 – $2,090 (competitive travel nurse pay)
• Location: Olathe, KS (66061) — Johnson County / Kansas City area
• Unit: Telemetry (4N Cardiac) — cardiac telemetry nursing
• Assignment Duration: 13-week travel assignment
• Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00–07:30), 3 shifts per week
• Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend required
• Start Date: April 26, 2026
• Orientation: 5 days (main campus + Olathe-specific + Epic EMR training)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry RN experience (cardiac telemetry nursing)
• Experience with TR Band post-procedure care and cardiac drips (Heparin, Butamax, Lasix, Cardizem)
• Experience initiating/monitoring Tikosyn or Sotalol preferred
• Active Kansas Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current BLS & ACLS certifications
• Ability to float to all acute care units as needed
• Available to work Memorial Day and July 4th
• Facility is nicotine-free
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• New graduate applicants are not eligible

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality telemetry nursing care for advanced cardiac patients on the 4N Cardiac Unit
• Monitor cardiac telemetry rhythms and respond to changes according to unit protocols
• Administer and titrate cardiac drips and medications safely (per unit/physician orders)
• Initiate and monitor Tikosyn/Sotalol therapy when indicated
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, cardiology, pharmacists, case managers) to coordinate patient care
• Float to other acute care units as required by staffing needs
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Epic EMR and follow facility policies
• Participate in required orientation and ongoing training to support clinical excellence
