- Shift: 8 Hour Days
- Hours per Week: 40
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,810 – $1,940 (competitive pay for travel OT roles)
Job Requirements
- Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in North Carolina (or eligibility to obtain state licensure)
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapist; experience in inpatient rehabilitation or acute care preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and ADL/IADL training skills
- Experience with stroke rehab, traumatic brain injury (TBI), amputation rehabilitation, and functional recovery interventions preferred
- Excellent communication, documentation, and teamwork skills for collaborative, multidisciplinary care
- BLS certification (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans focused on functional recovery, ADLs, and IADLs
- Treat patients recovering from stroke, traumatic brain injury, amputation, and other complex rehabilitation diagnoses
- Deliver skilled interventions including adaptive equipment training, compensatory strategies, and therapeutic activities to maximize independence
- Collaborate with physical therapists, speech therapists, physicians, nurses, and case managers as part of a multidisciplinary rehab team
- Educate patients and families on home programs, adaptive techniques, and safe discharge planning
- Document patient progress, outcomes, and treatment plans in accordance with hospital policies and rehabilitation documentation standards
- Contribute to a positive, patient-centered environment focused on quality outcomes and return-to-function
