Travel Surgical Technologist (Surgical Tech) – Orangeburg, SC | 13-week travel contract. NBSTSA certification and BLS required; 2+ years recent operating room (OR) experience preferred. • Location: Orangeburg, SC 29118 (Orangeburg, South Carolina travel healthcare job)
• Setting: Acute Care Hospital – Operating Room / Perioperative Services
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (May 5, 2026 – August 4, 2026)
• Shift: 4x10-hour day shifts (6:45am – 5:15pm)
• Hours per Week: 40
• On-Call: Required – 4 weekdays and 1.5 weekends per 4-week period
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,240 – $1,330
• Scrubs: Provided by facility
• Parking: Free on-site parking

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Surgical Technologist / Surgical Tech in an operating room setting (OR Tech)
• National certification required: NBSTSA (NCCT not accepted) and current BLS
• Experience across a variety of surgical cases: General Surgery, Robotics, Orthopedics, Podiatry, Gynecology, Eyes, Urology, ENT
• Must provide your own radiation badge
• First-time travel Surgical Techs accepted with required case experience
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons and the operating room team during a wide range of surgical procedures, including robotic and orthopedic cases
• Prepare and maintain a sterile field and follow perioperative sterile technique
• Set up instruments, supplies and equipment; perform instrument counts and ensure proper sterilization
• Ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are available and functioning for each case
• Float between service lines as needed within the facility to support multiple surgical specialties
• Participate in scheduled on-call rotation as required
• Follow all hospital policies, including infection control and safety protocols
• Document procedures and patient information accurately using Epic or Cerner charting systems
