Job Details – Cath Lab RN / Travel Nurse
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,370 – $2,500
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: May 18, 2026
- End Date: August 17, 2026
- Shift: 4 x 10-hour day shifts (07:00 – 17:30)
- Hours per Week: 40
- Setting: Short Term Acute Care, Teaching Hospital (Cardiac Catheterization Lab)
- Patient Ratio: 1:1
- Location: Washington, DC – Georgetown neighborhood (Zip 20007)

Job Requirements – Cath Lab Nurse / Cardiac Cath Lab RN
- Minimum 2 years recent Cath Lab, Interventional Vascular Lab, or Interventional Radiology RN experience
- Active DC Registered Nurse (RN) license required at time of submission
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- BSN preferred
- First-time travel nurses accepted with relevant Cath Lab experience
- Experience with Cerner electronic charting preferred
- Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
- Two supervisor references required
- Must pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam (80% overall, 100% on lethal rhythms)
Key Responsibilities – Cath Lab & Interventional Nursing
- Provide direct patient care in the Cardiac Cath Lab, performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
- Monitor and manage procedural sedation and ventilator-supported patients
- Start and maintain IV access; assist with central line insertion and management
- Interpret and manage dysrhythmias; perform continuous cardiac monitoring
- Apply isolation precautions and appropriate PPE
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV therapy, Respiratory, Radiology, Social Services, and Rapid Response
- Care for adult and geriatric patients with cardiac, vascular, oncologic, and transplant-related diagnoses
- Support ambulatory interventional procedures (e.g., interventional pulmonary, bone marrow harvest, radiation oncology when applicable)
