Job Details – Travel Nurse / Registered Nurse

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1800–$1890
• Travel Nursing Role: Med/Surg Telemetry RN / MedSurg Tele RN
• Location: Jackson, TN (38301) – Jackson, Tennessee travel nursing job
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 27, 2026)
• Shift: Day shift, 3x12 hours (06:45 – 19:15)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Patient Ratio: 1:5
• Unit: B8 - Med/Surg/Tele (clinical telemetry)
• Orientation: 16 hours

Job Requirements – Registered Nurse (RN)

• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Tele RN or MedSurg Telemetry RN experience
• Active Tennessee RN license or Compact RN license (must be active)
• AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Epic EMR (Epic Systems) experience within the last 12 months (must be detailed on submission profile)
• Travel nursing experience preferred (travel RN, travel nurse jobs in Tennessee)
• Previous charge nurse experience and community hospital experience preferred
• COVID-19 vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)

Responsibilities – Med/Surg / Telemetry Nurse Duties

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a busy Med/Surg/Tele unit
• Monitor and interpret telemetry, manage dysrhythmias, and escalate concerns to the interdisciplinary team
• Administer blood products and manage heparin protocols and IV insulin per policy
• Care for central lines, PICC lines, chest tubes, surgical drains, and feeding tubes
• Perform wound care, manage tracheostomies, and respond to rapid response/code teams
• Float to other Med/Surg/Tele units or low-acuity ICU as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV therapy, respiratory, physical therapy, and pharmacy
• Utilize Epic EMR for accurate charting, medication administration records, and documentation
