• Location: Jackson, TN 38301 (Jackson, Tennessee) — Tennessee travel nursing jobs
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 4/27/2026
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,550 – $2,680
• Shift: 8-hour days (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM), 5 shifts/week
• Call Requirement: 1 night/week (5:00 PM – 7:00 AM) and every 4th–5th weekend (48 hours)
• Patient Population: Adults & Geriatrics
• Unit: Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) — CVOR RN / Cardiovascular OR RN / Operating Room Nurse
• Charting System: Epic (recent experience required — documented within last 12 months)

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR RN experience (travel CVOR RN experience welcomed)
• Current and valid RN license (Compact license or Tennessee RN license required)
• Active AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Epic charting experience within the last 12 months (must be documented)
• Strong competency in cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures (CABG, MVR, AVR, TVR, ECMO, TAVR, TCAR, Impella insertion/removal, thoracic/lung procedures)
• Cardiovascular and thoracic robotic surgery experience required
• COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemption considered for COVID-19 only)
• References required; previous charge nurse and community hospital experience preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care in the CVOR for adult and geriatric patients
• Assist with a wide range of cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures as a CVOR RN
• Demonstrate proficiency with advanced surgical equipment, robotics, and device management (ECMO, Impella, TAVR support)
• Accurately document perioperative care and medication administration in Epic
• Participate in scheduled on-call rotations and weekend coverage
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including anesthesia, surgery, IV therapy, PT, RT, and pharmacy
• Promote a culture of safety, infection control, and patient-centered care in the operating room
