Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,810 – $2,960 (competitive travel nurse pay)
• Location: Rochester, NY 14642 — Rochester nursing jobs, New York healthcare
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 25, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour days, primarily weekdays (7am–7pm and 11am–11pm), with on-call responsibilities as needed
• Hours per Week: Three 12-hour shifts per week (3x12.0)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of cardiac RN / RNFA experience in cardiac surgery, CABG, or cardiac stepdown/telemetry
• Active New York State RN license (NYS)
• CNOR certification (preferred)
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Clinical telemetry and cardiac monitoring experience

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as RN First Assistant (RNFA) assisting with chest exposure and closure during cardiac surgeries
• Independently perform vein harvesting for CABG procedures and assist in complex cardiac cases
• Preferred experience first assisting in DaVinci robotic-assisted cardiac procedures
• Scrub and circulate for complex cardiac surgeries including CABGs, structural heart interventions, minimally invasive cardiac procedures, and heart failure cases
• Preferred: experience with heart transplant cases and advanced cardiac surgical support
• Provide high-quality post-operative care in the cardiac stepdown unit, including telemetry monitoring, hemodynamic assessment, and multidisciplinary care coordination
• Maintain patient safety, infection control standards, and professionalism in a high-volume cardiac surgical program
