Job Requirements (Radiologic Technologist / IR Tech)

• Minimum 1 year of Radiologic Technologist experience with Interventional Radiology (IR) experience required
• Current ARRT certification (RT(R))
• Active Wisconsin Radiologic Technologist license
• Current BLS certification
• Experience with Siemens and GE imaging equipment preferred
• Comfortable scrubbing and panning simultaneously; skilled in fluoroscopy and image-guided procedures
• Experience with general IR cases: central lines, ports, fistulograms, nephrostomy tubes, coil embolization, AAA intervention preferred
• Neuro IR experience a plus (strokes, embolization, DSA), but not required
• EPIC EMR experience preferred (documentation/coding/charging familiarity a plus)

Responsibilities (Interventional Radiology Technologist)

• Independently circulate and scrub basic to complex IR procedures, supporting interventional radiologists and the multidisciplinary team
• Perform a wide range of IR procedures: kyphoplasty/vertebroplasty, central line/PICC/port placements, fistulograms, IVC filter placement, nephrostomy tubes, peripheral interventions, coil embolization, and more
• Support CT-guided procedures including cryoablations, biopsies, and abscess drains (CT-guided interventions and image-guided therapies)
• Participate in Neuro IR cases if experienced (strokes, embolization, DSA, WADA testing, spinal angios)
• Collaborate closely with tech specialists, respiratory therapy, hospitalists, nurses, and CNAs to ensure patient-centered care
• Assist with patient transport and pre/post-procedure patient care as needed
• Participate in on-call rotation (general IR or Neuro IR based on experience)
• Maintain accurate procedure documentation, support coding/charging, and ensure compliance with hospital policies and infection control practices
• Prioritize patient safety, high-quality imaging, and adherence to radiation safety protocols
