Job Details – Boston NICU RN
- Location: Boston, MA 02115 (Boston NICU / Massachusetts nursing job)
- Position: Travel NICU Registered Nurse (RN) / Neonatal Nurse
- Assignment Type: Travel (13-week assignment)
- Setting: Level III/IV NICU (neonatal intensive care)
- Start Dates: 5/4/2026 or 5/18/2026
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12-hour shifts, flexible scheduling available
- Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per scheduling period
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250 – $2,370 (competitive travel nurse compensation)
Required Qualifications – NICU RN / Neonatal Nurse
- Active RN license (Massachusetts or compact state license accepted)
- NICU experience required (minimum 1 year preferred) – experience in Level III/IV neonatal nursing strongly preferred
- Current BLS (AHA) and NRP certifications
- Ability to provide documentation for onboarding (immunizations, background check, health statement, etc.)
- Strong clinical skills, neonatal assessment, ventilator and IV care experience, and a passion for family-centered neonatal care
Key Responsibilities – NICU Registered Nurse
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill neonates in a fast-paced Level III/IV NICU
- Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized neonatal care plans
- Monitor, assess, and document patient status, interventions, and outcomes using electronic medical records
- Provide family education, support, and communication throughout the neonatal care process
- Perform neonatal procedures and manage ventilators, central lines, and infusion therapy per unit protocols
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, infection control, and safety standards; participate in unit-based initiatives and continuous quality improvement
