Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,500 - $2,630
- Location: Fort Defiance, AZ 86504 (Navajo Nation) — Arizona travel nursing
- Setting: Wound Care Unit / Clinical Wound Care
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (April 7, 2026 – July 7, 2026)
- Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (No holidays or weekends)
- Hours per Week: 40 (Guaranteed: 36)
- Employment Type: Travel — Travel Nurse / Travel RN / Wound Care RN
Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Mandatory Wound Care Certification (WCC or equivalent) — required for Wound Care RN roles
- Minimum 3 years of wound care nursing experience, including pressure ulcer and chronic wound management
- Active RN license (Arizona RN licensure or compact license as applicable)
- American Heart Association BLS required; ACLS preferred
- Experience with ostomy care, fistula management, and advanced wound assessment
- Ability to float to other departments as needed; collaborative team player
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients with acute and chronic wounds, pressure ulcers, ostomies, draining wounds, and fistulas
- Provide comprehensive wound and ostomy care, including patient and family education on supplies, equipment, and self-care
- Perform advanced wound assessments, dressing selection, wound debridement techniques, and recommend treatment plans
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, nutrition, PT/OT, social work) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Document wound care assessments, treatment plans, and patient progress accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Participate in orientation and float to other departments as qualified; support quality improvement and wound care protocols
