• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (May 11, 2026 – August 10, 2026)
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 – $2,130
• Shift: 12-hour shifts; 6 shifts per two-week period (72 hours per two weeks) with every 3rd weekend off
• Setting: Critical Access Hospital (ER, Acute Care, Long-Term Care) — rural hospital nursing job
• Employment Type: Travel (on-site position)

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license. If not currently licensed in Hawaii, must apply upon acceptance and obtain Hawaii RN license by start date (Hawaii RN license required).
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department (ED) experience as an ER nurse or ED RN required.
• Comfortable providing care across ER, acute, and long-term care areas; able to float between units as needed.
• Must arrive in Pahala the Thursday before start date for employee health appointment on Friday.
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred. Additional certifications relevant to emergency nursing are a plus.
• Strong clinical assessment, triage, medication administration, and EMR documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care in the Emergency Room and support acute and long-term care units as assigned.
• Triage, assess, and manage patients across a broad acuity range in a rural ED setting.
• Administer medications, perform procedures, and manage patient care for both acute and LTC populations when assigned.
• Float between ER, acute, and LTC units to meet staffing needs and ensure continuity of care.
• Serve as backup in acute and LTC areas when ER patient volume is low; support interdisciplinary care coordination.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical record (EMR) documentation and adhere to facility protocols and patient safety standards.
