Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,350 – $1,460
• Location: Columbus, TX 78934 (Columbus, Texas travel lab job)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Shift Duration: 8-hour days
• Hours per Week: 40
• Rotating Weekends: Yes
• On-Site Position: Clinical laboratory / hospital setting
• Start Date: April 20, 2026
• COVID-19 Vaccine: Required (no exemptions)

Job Requirements

• Experienced Microbiologist or Medical Lab Technician (MLT) with a strong background in clinical microbiology
• Minimum 1 year of relevant laboratory experience in microbiology or clinical lab work
• BLS certification required
• Valid state medical laboratory license (must be in hand before start date)
• Two professional references required at submission
• Not accepting local candidates within a 40-mile radius
• COVID-19 vaccination required (no exemptions)

Responsibilities

• Perform microbiology testing and analysis in a hospital clinical laboratory setting
• Process and analyze patient samples with accuracy and efficiency, maintaining laboratory quality control
• Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with lab safety protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient care and timely reporting of results
• Float to other lab areas as needed within your scope of practice to support clinical operations
• Participate in rotating weekend coverage as scheduled
