Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,680 – $1,770
• Unit: General Med/Surg – includes post-op orthopedics and general surgery (medical-surgical unit)
• Patient Ratio: Typically 1:6, occasionally 1:7
• EMR / Systems: Cerner; Mindray Telemetry System (telemetry nursing experience helpful)
• Scrubs: Royal Blue

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years recent Med/Surg RN experience (medical-surgical nursing, telemetry experience preferred)
• Active RN license required; travelers must complete New Mexico fingerprinting process (may take several weeks)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required
• ACLS preferred
• Ability to float if needed to ICU or Step-Down units for Med/Surg overflow

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care on a general Med/Surg unit, including post-op ortho and general surgery patients
• Assess, monitor, and document patient status using Cerner and telemetry systems
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered and manage IV therapy
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, therapists, case managers) to support optimal patient outcomes
• Support unit flexibility by floating to ICU or Step-Down when needed and participating in call rotation as required
