Job Details
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 5/5/2026 – End: 8/4/2026)
- Position: Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) / Perioperative Nurse
- Setting: Level III Trauma Center – Operating Room, advanced robotics and specialty surgery
- Location: Glenwood Springs, Colorado (81601) – Colorado travel nurse job
- Shifts: 4x10-hour day shifts per week with rotating evening, night, and weekend call
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,370 – $2,500 (travel nurse pay)
- Traveler Housing: Newly remodeled, fully furnished studio and one-bedroom apartments available 1/2 block from the hospital (includes Wi?Fi, utilities, and on-site laundry; move-in ready)
Job Requirements & Qualifications
- Active Colorado RN License or Compact RN License in good standing (Colorado nursing license required for in-state placement)
- BLS (American Heart Association) certification
- ACLS (American Heart Association) certification
- Minimum 3 years of recent Operating Room or perioperative/surgical nursing experience
- Experience with robotic surgery and a broad case mix (general, ortho, neuro, OB-GYN, ENT, plastics, urology, pediatrics, trauma) preferred
- Ability to participate in rotating call schedule (evenings, nights, weekends)
- Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility (per travel radius rule)
Responsibilities / Surgical Nurse Duties
- Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care during the intraoperative phase and support overall patient safety
- Function as circulator and/or scrub for a wide variety of surgical procedures, including robotic-assisted cases
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and the perioperative team to ensure optimal outcomes
- Prepare OR, instruments, and equipment; maintain sterile field and adhere to infection control standards
- Maintain accurate documentation, surgical counts, and adhere to hospital protocols and perioperative standards
- Participate in call rotation, emergency response for trauma cases, and multidisciplinary rounds as assigned
