• Duration: 13 weeks
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed
• Shift: 3 x 12-hour shifts, rotating days/nights; every other weekend and holiday availability required
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,910 – $2,010
• Unit: Postpartum (CWN 9 POSTPARTUM Staff)

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in Massachusetts or active compact state RN license (acceptable for Massachusetts travel nurses)
• Minimum 1 year recent postpartum nursing experience or maternal-newborn clinical experience
• BLS certification (AHA)
• Ability to work rotating day/night shifts, every other weekend, and every other holiday
• Completion of required onboarding health and background checks (MMR, TB test, health statement, background check, etc.)
• Strong communication, patient education, and teamwork skills for high-quality postpartum and newborn care

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive postpartum nursing care to new mothers and newborns, including maternal assessments and infant care
• Monitor patient recovery, report changes, and escalate concerns to the interdisciplinary care team
• Educate new mothers and families on infant care, lactation support basics, postpartum health, and discharge planning
• Administer medications, perform routine assessments, and follow hospital policies and safety protocols
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with charting standards
• Support emotional needs of patients and families and collaborate with lactation consultants, social work, and other clinical staff
