• Location: Hood River, OR (97031) — Hood River, Oregon travel nursing opportunity
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: June 8, 2026
• End Date: September 7, 2026
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,160 – $2,270
• Shift: 3x12-hour night shifts (19:00 – 07:00), every other weekend required
• Hours per Week: 36
• Setting: LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) Unit — labor & delivery, maternity, perinatal care
• Position Type: Travel Contract / Travel Nurse

Qualifications & Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oregon (or compact RN license, or pending OR license)
• Minimum 1 year of recent LDRP / labor & delivery experience (2 years preferred) — experience as an obstetrics nurse or perinatal RN preferred
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification preferred
• Experience with Epic electronic health record (EHR) required
• Reliable vehicle for assignment and willingness to float to nearby sister facilities as needed
• Ability to work every other weekend and 3 of 5 major holidays during contract
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year within the last 3 years

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, patient-centered care for laboring, delivering, and postpartum patients according to AWHONN standards (1:1 labor, 1:6 postpartum)
• Perform and document maternal and newborn assessments, administer medications (including Pitocin and Magnesium Sulfate), and monitor fetal heart rates using electronic fetal monitoring (EFM)
• Conduct sterile vaginal exams, triage obstetrical patients, and respond to abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, and social services to ensure safe deliveries and quality maternity care
• Float to other units or nearby affiliate hospitals as needed based on skill set and patient census
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic, participate in ongoing training modules, and support quality improvement initiatives
