• Location: Hampstead, NH 03841 – Southern New Hampshire healthcare opportunity near the seacoast and the White Mountains.
• Setting: Pediatric Psychiatric Facility – Counselors Division (pediatric mental health, child & adolescent therapy)
• Employment Type: Travel Contract (clinical therapist, behavioral health jobs)
• Start Date: May 11, 2026
• End Date: August 8, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 8-hour evening shifts (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM)
• Hours per Week: 40 (guaranteed)
• Shifts: Evenings only; weekends required (evening shift therapist, weekend coverage)
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,470 – $1,580

Job Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in behavioral and mental health, including work with pediatric populations
• Experience working with children and adolescents (child and adolescent therapy, pediatric behavioral health)
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (social work, psychology, counseling, or similar)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with assigned pediatric patients using age-appropriate interventions
• Facilitate and maintain a safe, therapeutic environment within the pediatric psychiatric unit (therapeutic milieu)
• Provide patient care services across a range of needs—from basic support to complex behavioral interventions—promoting skill development and independence
• Implement evidence-based practices and therapeutic modalities as appropriate for children and adolescents (trauma-informed care, behavioral health interventions)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, educators) to support individualized treatment plans
• Participate in ongoing training, professional development, and clinical supervision
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to facility policies and regulatory standards
