Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state RN license required; compact license accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of PACU or post-anesthesia care experience in an outpatient or hospital setting
• Current BLS certification (required)
• Strong clinical skills in surgical recovery, pain management, and patient assessment
• Experience with ambulatory surgery center (ASC) workflows and rapid turnover environments preferred
• Ability to collaborate effectively with surgical, anesthesia, and perioperative teams in a fast-paced outpatient setting

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality post-anesthesia nursing care in the Prep & Recovery unit following outpatient surgical procedures
• Monitor patient vital signs, airway status, and recovery progress after anesthesia
• Administer medications, manage pain, and provide treatments as prescribed
• Perform thorough patient assessments and implement recovery plans to ensure safe discharge
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care, discharge instructions, and follow-up
• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams to optimize perioperative outcomes and patient safety
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, adhere to safety standards, and support quality improvement initiatives
