Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) – Travel Nurse, Night Shift in Winston-Salem, NC (27103): 13-week perioperative travel nursing contract for experienced surgical nurses. Join a high-acuity OR team focused on neuro spine, ortho spine, vascular, and robotics surgery.

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (18:45 - 07:15), 3 shifts per week
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,620 – $1,710
• Start Date: May 4, 2026
• Setting: Acute care Operating Room – 17 ORs, ~45 cases/day
• Scrubs Provided: Ceil Blue
• Orientation: Minimum 36 hours (3 days) plus EPIC training

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active North Carolina RN license or Compact RN license (must be in hand by start date)
• Minimum 2 years recent acute Operating Room experience (perioperative/surgical nurse)
• Proven experience as both circulate and scrub RN
• Clinical experience in at least 2 specialties: neuro spine, ortho spine, vascular, or robotics
• BCLS certification required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred but not required
• Must not have been out of the acute OR setting for more than 6 months
• Must not have held a management role as most recent position
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)

Key Responsibilities

• Circulate and scrub for a wide variety of surgical procedures, emphasizing neuro spine, ortho spine, vascular, and robotics cases
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical techs, and perioperative staff to ensure safe, efficient patient care
• Maintain sterile technique and adhere to hospital infection control and safety protocols
• Utilize hospital systems including PYXIS, EPIC charting, and SBAR communication
• Adapt quickly to a high-volume OR schedule (45 cases/day across 17 ORs)
• Complete required orientation (minimum 36 hours) and mandatory modules prior to start
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care across the lifespan (adolescents, adults, pediatrics, geriatrics)
