Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,350 – $1,420 (Travel Nurse / Travel RN pay)
• Location: Titusville, FL 32796 – Space Coast (close to Kennedy Space Center, beaches, riverfront)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 4, 2026 – August 3, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00 – 07:00), 4 shifts per week (Night Shift, Telemetry Nurse)
• Unit: Mixed Med/Surg, Telemetry, and Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Patient Ratio: 1:6 (PCU-level care)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Float Requirement: Yes (within RN scope)
• Orientation: Mandatory 5 shifts (36–40 hours first week)
• Charting: Meditech (Electronic Health Record experience preferred)
• Parking: Free in any unrestricted space

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years recent Med/Surg and Telemetry RN experience (PCU-level care, 1:6 ratio)
• Active Florida RN license or multistate (compact) RN license (RN jobs in Florida)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (AHA or willing to obtain before start)
• Strong telemetry nurse skills; cardiac telemetry and dysrhythmia interpretation required
• Cardiac drip experience preferred; some IV infusion / cardiac drip familiarity helpful
• Orthopedic and total joint replacement nursing care strongly preferred
• Experience caring for adult and geriatric patient populations in acute care settings
• Must reside more than 30 miles from facility (no local travelers)
• COVID-19 vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Ability to complete pre-start modules (~4 hours) and attend mandatory orientation

Responsibilities – Med/Surg Tele RN / Telemetry Nurse

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to adult and geriatric patients on a mixed Med/Surg, Telemetry, and PCU unit
• Manage a 1:6 patient ratio delivering PCU-level nursing care (Progressive Care)
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry and dysrhythmias; escalate per policy
• Administer and manage cardiac drips (no titration), manage chest tubes, CVA, and post-MI care
• Provide perioperative and postoperative care for orthopedic and total joint replacement patients
• Float to other units within scope as needed (flexible Travel RN duties)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, Pharmacy, Case Management, and ancillary services
• Complete documentation in Meditech and maintain compliance with hospital policies and quality standards
• Participate in required orientation, complete pre-start modules, and meet shift/holiday coverage requirements
