Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,630 – $1,750 (competitive travel behavioral health pay)
• Location: On-site in Eden, TX (76837) — Eden, Texas behavioral health job
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 18, 2026)
• Schedule: Days; typically 5x8-hour shifts per week
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Setting: Correctional behavioral health / on-site clinical services

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or related clinical field (e.g., MSW, MA, MEd)
• Current and appropriate Texas licensure: LPC, LCSW, or LMFT (licensed professional counselor, licensed clinical social worker, or licensed marriage and family therapist)
• Minimum 5 years of clinical experience, including at least 2 years in a comparable role (behavioral health, correctional health, or clinical mental health)
• Strong clinical skills in mental health assessments, individual and group counseling, and crisis intervention
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
• Minimum age: 18 years
• Valid driver's license preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health screenings and clinical assessments using available records and diagnostic interviews
• Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans based on clinical evaluation and patient functioning
• Deliver evidence-based counseling, psychotherapy, and crisis intervention services to inmates/patients
• Document all treatment, assessments, and clinical activity accurately in health care records in compliance with regulatory and facility standards
• Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive medical and behavioral health information (HIPAA-compliant practices)
• Apply knowledge of psychological counseling theory, therapeutic techniques, and case management to support patient outcomes
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff and facility leadership to coordinate behavioral health care and referrals
