Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,000 – $2,100
• Location: Lima, OH 45804 — Lima, Ohio travel nurse opportunity
• Setting: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) / Cardiac ICU / Intensive Care (ICU)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 5/7/2026 – End: 8/6/2026)
• Shift: 12-hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), No Call, Every Other Weekend
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse / Travel RN
• Number of Positions: 3 CVICU Registered Nurse openings

Qualifications & Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience; strong preference for Cardiac ICU / CVICU / critical care nurse background
• Immediate Open Heart Recovery experience required (post-op cardiac surgery care)
• Active Ohio RN license or multistate Compact RN license (eligible for Ohio)
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification
• Current American Heart Association ACLS certification
• Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• TNCC certification highly preferred
• Skills checklist current to 1 year, with competencies pertinent to CVICU/ICU specialty
• Willingness to float to other units within skill level (team-oriented, flexible travel nurse)

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient-centered care using age-specific critical care standards
• Provide direct clinical care for patients recovering from open heart surgery and complex cardiac procedures
• Monitor hemodynamics, titrate vasoactive infusions, and manage advanced cardiac monitoring per unit protocols
• Make clinical judgments based on evidence-based practice, scientific knowledge, and advanced critical care skills
• Assist in planning, directing, and educating non-RN staff (LPNs, PCTs, unit secretaries) and participate in team-based care
• Float to other units as needed within your competency to support staffing and patient care
