Job Requirements

• Active RN license (New York State) — Registered Nurse (RN) required
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg RN experience in a 600+ bed academic hospital with passing competency testing score
• Epic EMR experience required for clinical documentation and medication administration
• Competency test required within 24 hours of submission (clinical competency for medical-surgical nursing)
• Ability to wear navy blue scrubs as part of facility dress code
• Willingness to float to other units as needed — flexible clinical support across hospital units

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality medical-surgical nursing care to adult patients as a Med/Surg RN
• Monitor patient progress, perform assessments, and document care accurately in Epic EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, therapists, case management) to support optimal patient outcomes
• Administer medications and treatments safely and according to orders
• Deliver patient education, discharge planning support, and family communication
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and adhere to hospital policies and infection control practices
